A networking event that means you ACTUALLY NETWORK. We’ve all done it – you turn up to an overpriced networking event, missed out on the snacks, talk to the same people you came with/know and leave only having talked to those same people … hungry.

A networking event that values kindness, respect, empowerment, equality, community and the environment.

A networking event that relieves participants of the stress of introductions and eases the awkward “exit”. And by network we don’t mean focusing on ‘what you can do for me’, we mean actually gaining insight, a new perspectives and learning from each other as part of a community. We believe that everyone you ever meet will teach you something you don’t know and we’d like you to leave our event having learned something new.

Oh, and did we mention it’ll be in the theme of our first episode ‘STALLING IT’ … an 80’s wedding.

After Jemma and Caroline’s successful event in collaboration with raising awareness and money ‘CHOOSE LOVE presents Women in Film: a panel discussion’ with Producer – Chi Thai (Three times CANNES LIONS finalist ), Cinematographer – Shivani Hassard (As seen on DAZED DIGITAL and recipient of the BAFTA LA Scholarship in 2016), Writer – Naida Redgrave (WINNER of the TriForce/ C21 Writerslam 2018 and long-listed for PENGUIN RANDOM HOUSE’s Write Now 2018, Writer and PhD candidate) and Writer Director Kate Herron (Sex Education, SCREEN INTERNATIONAL STAR OF TOMORROW, BROADCAST HOT SHOT, one of FORBES 30 UNDER 30 and on the BBC HOT NEW TALENT LIST) We wish to continue our value of helping others and will be hosting our event at the amazing Centre 151 – Community Centre for Refugees from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. There will be a fundraising bucket going around for any spare change and donations.

‘Formally known as St. Mary’s Church Hall, 151 Whiston road was established as a Community Centre in June 1984, becoming a focal point for a range of social, cultural and educational activities.
